The body of the mythological figure shows shapings of different animals and is rather similar to a lion. The face is like from a smiling sphinx. There are three horns, the middle could be like a unicorn. Those animals in small sizes were used as grave offerings.

Description
The body of the mythological figure shows shapings of different animals and is rather similar to a lion. Around the body are suggested ribs. The legs are like from a cat, the tail similar to a duck. The face shows a kind of a smiling sphinx. There are three horns on the head, one on each side, the middle is put on like a unicorn. The „chi-lin“ belongs to the miracle beasts. The bottom of the figure has a gap and is inside hollow. Those hybrids of human, animal and monster in small sizes were used as grave offerings. (HV)
