Description

The water dropper has a rounded shoulder and a conical shape to the bottom. The pouring appears as an indentation, the spout formed with thick clay is attached. In the middle between inlet and outlet is a lightly slanted retaining ring. The vessel is light-grey  with grey-black mottlings. There are traces of oxidation.

Such a water dropper belonged to the writing-utensils. After the filling with water the vessel is placed upright. In order to dose the amount of water to thin the ink precisely, the writer has to place his finger on the top opening. [1] (HV)
