The round-formed bowl has a partly glazed conical standfoot, that is inside hollow. It has inside and outside a turquoise glaze and a naturalistic black plants decoration. The lower ring and the bottom are only clay. The standfoot is inside hollow. The inside surface of the bowl is decorated in black with six groups of interwined leaf tendrils and stylized blossoms. In a similar way the patterns are repeated outside. Allover the body of the bowl is covered with a transparent turquoise glaze. A tear is visible on the inner bulge of the vessel.<\/span>

Under the rule of the Safavids, a dynasty based on a religious brotherhood, arts and crafts were also greatly promoted (by Shah Abbas I. 1587 \u2013 1629). Objects like this bowl were found in Kubachi\/Dagestan. They were originally made by different groups of ceramicists in four different locations, in Kubachi they were only collected.
